My name is Patricia and I live in the Chicago suburbs with my husband Dan, fur baby Remi and our fiery little Miss and soon-to-arrive Little Mister.
I’m a classically trained pastry chef (hence the baker portion of baker and bun); I attended the lauded Culinary Institute of America where I was the valedictorian of my class...yes, I'm a nerd! This is all to say that I'm not your average housewife cookie baker. I hate the word "foodie" but I love learning about food and experimenting in the kitchen.
The “bun” portion of the blog is a bit of word play because I love bread but it’s also a nod to our Little Miss.
Most of the photos on this blog are my own, however, I’ll note any exceptions in posts as my mom is a photographer and I'll likely use her photos quite a bit! The one on this page and on the side bar are taken by the ever talented Alicia of Alicia's Photography www.alicias.com.
My lovely logo was designed by Laura Terry www.lauraterrycom; she is patient and creative and wonderful to work with if you are ever in need of something unique. She also has wonderful prints; if we have a boy I'm definitely decorating his room with a few of her fox sketches.
